Observations from a mid-November afternoon

There’s this stationary store around the corner from where I work that has gone out of business. It was replaced by some un-inspired clothing store. The new store owners decided to paint the color black over the previous store’s advertisment that had been painted on the exterior brick.

Enter the graffiti artists. In grey paint, in the middle of a field of black were the words….

“remember, remember the 5th of november.”

Awesome. It’s even better when we consider the gentrification underway in this part of the city and the implied class war.

Random guy on the street: “Sir, Sir! Darth Vader killed my father and now I need money to buy a lightsaber to avenge his death.”

I was going to buy Pringles, but that’s too creative not to be rewarded.
