Gah!
They broke it! What the hell?
The administrators over at sundayriver.com changed their trail conditions page and subsequently broke my TrailMap. Now, they have every right to change the format of their content. In fact, I’m in the business of doing that. But what bugs me is that they only changed the format of their content. They didn’t improve it. And they definitely didn’t make it more readable or usable. The semantic web. Aim for it with every update to your site.
I was able to modify my code to handle their questionable face lift. And in the process, I stripped out about half of the file size. I had to rewrite the cgi script from the ground up, but I think even that is faster. It certainly reads better. I also realized that I could easily adapt the TrailMap’s framework to any other resort. I would only need to slightly reconfigure the server script.
Stowe, I’m looking in your direction…

Things that do not go together.
Mass Ave on a weekday morning and “Free Bird.”
Try yielding at a crosswalk in Central Square as pensioners and the habitually aimless pretend they’re royalty passing their adoring crowds while Lynyrd Skynyrd’s guitar duel is reaching it’s first peak and you’ll have finally internalized the definition of a crime against humanity.
