Hema throws down the gauntlet.

A colleague pointed me to this dummy page on Hema.nl. It’s an excellent combination of Flash video, particle effects and timeline animation. The Actionscript / Javascript communication is especially clever and well done.

I love work like this that totally defies expectations. And taking a rather dull shopping interface and re-imagining it into a Rube Goldberg machine that descends into complete chaos is brilliant.
